Perfect location for tourists—just steps away from the train station and the Moda Center. Close to downtown but far away enough to stay away from chaos. There is a $25 destination fee, but it includes a day pass for the train and bus, which is very convenient. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable. I had read some reviews about noise, so I called ahead and they kindly moved me to the 12th floor. Excellent service throughout. Highly recommend!
The cleanest bed mattress I've seen at a hotel so that was an instant five star for me. They made checkin and checkout easy. The food at the restaurant was good. Free breakfast would have been nice but otherwise it was literally perfect.
We stay here everytime we go to an event at the Moda Center, we love it! Valet is easy, and usually they have a promo for two free drinks and late check out when going to an event. Always feels like such a luxury. Also really like the Chromecast on the TV so you can stream whatever you were watching at home! Sometimes we get the vegan breakfast at that cafe and it's always yummy!
1. Want to thank Jame at front desk for his excellent service this and last year. 2. Upgraded to the Hyatt regency suite with excellent panoramic views of Portland and even Mt Hood. 3. The suite was clean and spacious. 4. Breakfast for globalist was awesome. Able to go for the buffet or unlimited à la carte with tip included. I went for the latter as they were just nicer and better for to go. 5. $15 destination fee or credit is waived for globalists but i was able to use it at the bar despite not needing to pay for it. 6. Hyatt regency Portland has its own indoor garage next door with free electric chargers which made staying at this hotel so convenient!
Hotel has nice modern touches with upgrades. It feels luxurious but still has your standard mini fridge, single serve Keurig, lockbox, $4.00 bottles of water in the room. They decided not to put in a bathroom fan nor put a door on the bathroom, which feels odd to me if your having someone stay on the pull out sofa. The big TV is nice but super bright in that small room at night. I paid for a city view but don't feel like I was looking at a nice shot of the city. They skimped out on bedsheets to put on the pull out bed, with 1 tiny blanket and a very flat pillow. The other strange thing was there was no trash can liners in any of the trash cans, as a woman I would feel bad putting my personal hygiene items in a garbage with no bin. The glass door for the toilet wouldn't open all the way which was inconvenient. This hotel offered the cheapest parking out of the other ones I shopped around at and was super close to the moda center. I like to think I paid for convience not for the amenities at the hotel. Would I stay there again?! Probably but I'm upgrading to a bigger room.
Good value for the facilities, location, cleanliness, and definitely the gym. Gym has 3 pelotons, stair master, ample floor work space, and good free weight section. Asides from cardio, it only has one cable machine and no dedicated machines for body work though. Rooms are clean. Nice views all around. Bathroom has a toilet door but no “bathroom” door. Shower has some privacy since it’s not fully see through but still transparent at head and feet so can be seen from the entryway or the sink. Good stuff - Brandon was great. They give you passes for the local transportation, which is a nice amenity!
Great experience for my son and I! Self-parking was a bit confusing for me, but the room was clean, beds were comfortable, modern tv, extremely quiet, free wifi and coffee in room. What more could a person want! Definitely will stay here again.
Really enjoyed this hotel. The rooms are great and the location is perfect if you are attending a basketball game at Moda. Few complaints: - bathroom glass door is stupid. I don’t need to see the shape of my partner pooping! - you have a resort fee of $28 but you re are not a resort and do not have anything to offer for that price. - $35 self parking. Come on man!
